A fascinating antique Welsh English Dictionary from 1915 (seventh edition)

Includes a preface by Sir Edward Anwyl, a Welsh academic, specializing in the Celtic languages.

This book is 'dedicated by permission to The Right Hon. Sir John Rhys, P.C., D.Litt, LL.d., in recognition of his great services to learning and to Wales

The pen and ink annotations in this edition would normally be a concern, but they are so beautifully neat and small and contain a wealth of fascintaing information (if you can read them!)

Condition: poor: Very well used - which is quite a lovely thought. Spine missing. scuffs and age related marks to book cover boards. Cover boards are attached but feels loose, with a few loose pages throughout. Pages have age related marks. Annotations throughout - which are probably the most fascinating part of this copy - the pen and ink handwriting is so incredibly neat and small!
