The Welsh-language translation of Basil Mathews’s biography of the famed missionary-explorer David Livingstone by John Bodfan Anwyl. The original English biography by Mathews is known as Livingstone the Pathfinder, first published in 1912.

The translation into Welsh reflects the efforts at the time to create accessible Christian / religious / inspirational literature in Welsh — contributing to a tradition of Welsh-language Christian publishing.
