This rare 1913 work by John Lloyd (1885–1964) is a landmark in early 20th-century Welsh pedagogy. A award-winner at the 1912 National Eisteddfod in Wrexham, Llyfr Darllen ac Ysgrifennu (A Reading and Writing Book) was crafted to provide a structured, high-quality foundation for Welsh literacy during a period of intense national and educational revival

It contains stories including one from The Mabinogion, songs such as Cymru by Talhaiarn and poetry including Saboth Cymru yn y Wlad by Elfed.
