A sweet little Welsh lady pin which should bring you good luck!

This brooch likely dates from the mid 20th century (c. 1950s)

Setting the Welsh Lady inside a wishbone / horseshoe shape adds layers of traditional folk symbolism. Both the wishbone and horseshoe are classic symbols of good luck, protection, and well-wishes across British folklore. In Edwardian and mid-20th-century jewellery, wishbone and horseshoe motifs were popular gifts given to friends or loved ones embarking on a trip or as a token of good fortune.

  • Enamel detailing featuring a woman in traditional Welsh national dress (tall black hat, shawl, and apron) standing inside a lucky wishbone / horseshoe frame
  • Silver coloured metal (no markings)
  • Fitted with a classic C-clasp pin mechanism on the back
  • Approximate measurements: 4 cm x 1.75 cm

Condition: Very Good

Vintage pre-owned condition with light patina and age-appropriate wear. Pin and clasp on the reverse are intact and working - though perhaps a little squashed.
