Vintage Cape Coat / Cloak Jacket - Welsh Tapestry - Wool - 1960s (Preloved)

A beautiful vintage cape made from classic Welsh Tapestry woven wool. The warm brown, rust and black tones are quintessentially 1960s and perfect for autumn/winter styling.

Welsh tapestry weaving was revived in the 1950s–60s and garments in this style were part of that movement.

This piece has a flattering swing silhouette with a front zip and large studs to create sleeves, designed to be worn as a coat. The fabric is a proper woven wool with a lovely weight to it — warm, textured and full of character.

These original Welsh tapestry capes are increasingly hard to find — especially in such lovely condition. A perfect statement piece for fans of slow fashion, sustainable textiles, or anyone who values a little bit of Welsh history in their wardrobe.
