Crafted at St Fagans, this charming Welsh studio pottery mug is hand-painted with "Dadcu" - the South Wales word for Grandfather. Finished in rich cobalt blue and warm terracotta with traditional slipware patterning, it is made for cozy autumn mornings, wrapping two hands around a piping hot brew, or sharing a warming cup of tea by a roaring fire after a crisp seasonal walk. A perfect gift!

  • Hand-painted with the Welsh word "Dadcu" (meaning Grandfather in South Wales) in a deep terracotta-brown slip
  • Pottery / Studio: St Fagans pottery, hand-inscribed "St Fagans" with maker’s initials (M or H) on the unglazed terracotta base
  • Cream dip-glazed ceramic body featuring a rich cobalt blue rim and decorative wavy/dotted geometric band, set over a warm terracotta clay base
  • Interior: Glazed cobalt lip fading into raw, glazed terracotta inside

Condition: Very Good

No chips or cracks, a little rough on the lip in one small section where the glaze has come away slightly
